Bio Sketch
Pushpita Samina, PhD student in Health Policy at McMaster who has more than ten years of experience working on TB projects in the Global South. Her research interests are in Health Technology Assessment and creating Blended Financing models for Tuberculosis(TB). Prior joining to the PhD program, Dr Samina led United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bangladesh’s TB portfolio and designed and managed large scale TB projects in Bangladesh. She is a medical doctor and worked for almost ten years in Global Health in Tajikistan and the Southeast Asia region. Her thesis topic will include social investment and health technology assessment in the field of tuberculosis.
