Description
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a leading cause of death across low- and middle-income countries. An epidemic entwined with social and economic circumstances, it is widely recognized that ending TB requires more than medical research and interventions. There are relatively few dedicated forums for social scientists engaged in TB research to share their experiences, showcase their results and learn together. This symposium provides the platform and opportunity to share results and lessons in addressing the TB epidemic in different countries and it will be the first step in building a global community of researchers who are seeking to understand the social dimensions of TB. Join us together with the ICMR – National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, India, to hear engaging speakers who have worked in diverse settings across the globe. Stay tuned for the agenda and the speakers!
