Bio Sketch
Chhavi Garg is a public health researcher with experience in health systems strengthening, implementation research, health policy, and global health programs. She holds a Master’s degree in Global Health and has worked more than eight years on infectious diseases, including HIV, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted infections, as well as disability inclusion and health equity initiatives in low- and middle-income countries. Her research interests focus on translating evidence into policy and practice, improving health system performance, implementation science, health economics, and the social determinants of health. She has contributed to multi-country research projects evaluating disability inclusion strategies, community-based interventions, and health service delivery models across Africa and Asia. Her work combines quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches to understand how health interventions can be effectively implemented and sustained in diverse contexts. Chhavi is particularly interested in the intersection of social sciences and tuberculosis, including patient-cantered care, health-seeking behaviour, equity in access to services, community engagement, and the policy and systems factors that influence TB prevention and control. She is committed to generating evidence that supports more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable health systems and contributes to improved health outcomes for vulnerable populations globally.
