Bio Sketch

Dr. Meena Putturaj is a public health researcher, academic, and DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance Fellow at the Institute of Public Health, Bengaluru. She holds a PhD in Public Health from Maastricht University and the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, and her research focuses on health systems strengthening, health governance, equity, Indigenous health,TB and patient rights. She supports the TB Public–Private Mix (TB PPM) Learning Network Secretariat, fostering collaboration and capacity building to strengthen private sector engagement for TB elimination in India, and serves as a mentor for an ICMR-funded implementation research project that uses applied theatre to address TB stigma through community engagement in three states in India. Through her research, teaching, and mentorship, she is committed to advancing participatory, equitable, and people-centred health systems that inform policy and improve public health practice.
