Bio Sketch
Yusufu Kionga is a social scientist at Kibong’oto Infectious Diseases hospital, Tanzania. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Athena Institute, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Amsterdam. His research focuses on how patients, providers, and communities experience lung health conditions, and what do they do about this. Using participatory approaches, he works to co-develop person-centered tools that improve respiratory care across the TB cascade. Yusufu is passionate about bridging scientific knowledge with lived experiences to create sustainable, impactful health interventions in Africa.
