Using a multidisciplinary research approach, we aim to investigate the epidemiological impact and intersection of the COVID-19 and TB pandemics at the patient and the population level in the four project countries: South Africa, India, Russia and Brazil. Once of the objectives of the study is to determine programme and other in-country response measures to mitigate the negative impacts of COVID-19 on TB healthcare services. We are doing this through a mixed-methods approach, that includes surveys and interviews with TB programme managers, health workers, and people on TB treatment or on TB preventive therapy.
