Bio Sketch

Agus Fitriangga is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Tanjungpura, Pontianak, Indonesia. His research focuses on communicable and non-communicable diseases, with a particular interest in tuberculosis (TB) and border health issues. As a member of JetSet TB, he actively engages in collaborative research and initiatives aimed at improving TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment strategies, particularly in resource-limited settings.

Fitriangga is currently leading a research project utilizing BPJS-K health insurance data to analyze TB trends and healthcare access in Indonesia. His work also extends to health disparities at the Indonesia-Malaysia border in West Kalimantan, where he aims to develop evidence-based interventions to improve healthcare delivery for marginalized populations. He is in the process of establishing a center for communicable and non-communicable disease studies at Universitas Tanjungpura, reinforcing his commitment to addressing public health challenges in the region.

Through his expertise in public health, epidemiology, and health policy, Dr. Fitriangga seeks to contribute to SSHIFTB’s mission by integrating social science perspectives into TB research and advocacy. He looks forward to potential collaborations that drive impactful solutions for TB control in Indonesia and beyond.
